A market leading Defence client of ours is currently in the market for an Air Traffic Engineer to join their team in Manchester. In this role, you will carry out daily inspection, repair & fault finding along with a variety of project work.
What you'll be doing:
Carrying out a daily inspection to ensure that all systems are serviceable.
Informing ATC of any unserviceability found during the daily inspection.
Carrying out fault rectification as and when required.
Carrying out scheduled servicing.
Carrying out project work as required.
Ensuring that all relevant documentation is completed.
Ensuring that competency is kept up to date.
Your skills and experiences:
Engineering qualification to HNC level or equivalent.
Experience in fault investigation and rectification, and familiarity with telecommunications test equipment.
A good understanding of Windows and Linux, plus network and data communications knowledge would be beneficial.
The department is a CAA SARG approved maintenance organisation, and as such, all personnel must show evidence of previous training and experience.
Experience using some or all of the following equipment:
Instrument Landing System.
Distance Measuring Equipment.
Primary Surveillance Radar.
Secondary Surveillance Radar.
Non-Directional Beacon.
Direction Finder.
Radio Transmitters and Receivers.
Voice Communication Control System.
