We have an exciting opportunity to join our organisation as an

Accounting Team Leader

on our Chippenham site on a 9-month fixed term basis. The Accounting Team Leader is responsible for a variety of recharge and central accounting activities centred around balance sheet controls, with responsibility for a small team.

Hours:

37.5 hours per week hybrid working attending our office on Tuesday and Wednesday. Duties and responsibilities: Manage a small team & co-ordinate activities to ensure that the following are performed in accordance with timetables and activity plans: Central Recharges & Recovery processes (incl. centralised billing and Key Fuels). Journal Compliance and monitoring of corrections. Completion of all relevant balance sheet reconciliations. Service Now query management. Provide support for the wider team including the Management Accounts, Financial Accountant & Financial Services Manager as required. Ensure continuous improvement and process improvement. Effective team management, coaching, developing and driving a culture of excellence. Other accounting duties and projects as required by the team. How will you contribute? Timely & accurate recharges. Reduce volume of corrections by working with the business. Timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations and query resolution. Timely resolution of Service Now queries and demonstrable reduction of queries. Examples of process improvement & continuous improvement. Maintain detailed and up to date Standard Operating procedures and process notes. What will you bring? Part qualified or studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA). Experience of taking the lead, managing projects or people management. Balance sheet reconciliations. Accounting controls. Experience of working under pressure, prioritising and managing competing deadlines. Self-motivated and commitment to getting the job done.
