role, salary up to £32K Your new company Our client is a well-established design consultancy with 30+ years of experience in building services, Energy, Sustainability, Lift & IT fields based out of Glasgow's city centre.

Their team of experts cover all traditional Building Services elements, enhanced by their skillset in the Energy and Sustainability with BREEAM.

The vast majority of their projects are intricate, complex, and unique MOD and defence contracts, requiring high standards of work across the board.

Due to the nature of their work, all candidates will need to hold, or meet the criteria to hold security clearance to MOD SC level.

Your new role

Ensuring an understanding of project briefs, design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems. Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems - power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection etc. Carry out the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools including Excel, Dialux, Amtech, in-house developed tools, etc. Representing the organization at meetings with clients and contractors. Site surveys, inspections and monitoring of site works. Report and technical note writing. Maintaining complete records and archives to company standards. Adherence to all quality, environmental and governance processes. What you'll need to succeed

Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering / Electrical Engineering or related subjects. At least 2 years of post-grad experience in electrical design engineering on Building Services projects. Base knowledge of electrical systems and building codes. Experience working in a design consultancy and/or experience of working within a contractor design environment is essential. Have a working knowledge of appropriate technical standards. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. What you'll get in return
