Yes Job Description: Seize this opportunity as a Sales & Tender Engineer with Hitachi Energy UK. Based in Stone, Staffordshire (hybrid role). Working within our Transformers Tendering team, understanding the full potential of our technology and the trend in our markets is highly rewarding. You will be helping Customers all over the world improve efficiency, save resources, and reduce emissions gives our work a powerful sense of purpose. Responsible for sales and tendering of the entire product and services for Transformers in the UK. The role is to maximize Hitachi Energy’s market potential and opportunity. Visiting potential clients to secure business, agreeing scope of works, preparing costings, and ensuring continual update of Hitachi Energy’s sales and marketing tools with visit reports and opportunities. Interfacing with the Market Manager, Product Marketing Manager, Tendering, Operations, and our Technical support teams to ensure it fits within the business capabilities and maximize opportunities to better clients’ expectations. You will support the Transformer Product Market Manager in the implementation of the sales and marketing strategy, oversee allocated sales and tendering activities to drive sales and increase market share. About the role: Be part of the team to drive Transformer Business on the market through sales and tendering Implementation of the local product marketing strategy, by visiting potential clients to present offering, agreeing client requirements, product value propositions and tendering of defined scope. Involved in the market analyses with the Transformer Sales team, responsible for forecasts and detailed business/marketing plans for allocated areas of the portfolio. Achieving business targets through regular review of sales and tendering activities and implementation of improvement/focus plans as needed. Working with the Transformer Product Market Manager and Country Sales to develop new customers and market segments and ensure profitably increase of local volume. Undertaking tendering activities to support the business ensuring involvement of overall team to for cost effective offering to meet client expectations, able to present added value to clients. Understanding of Customer Service principles and their effect on the business. Strengthen the customer relationship through sales visits, market communications and local account management. Ensure sustainable growth targets are achieved. To ensure compliance with Quality Management System, Safety Procedures and Accountancy Policies and approval procedures. Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business. Your background: A Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering or similar preferred. 2 years of experience in Sales and/or tendering in a Power Engineering industry, preferably with focus on service and after sales. Experience and knowledge around Transformers within the power industry would be of great benefit. Passion for sales in a technical setting, with knowledge and experience of sales and marketing tools such as Sales Force/digital marketing tools – LinkedIn Sales Navigator / similar, are necessary. We are looking for a result driven candidate that can work both as an individual and as part of a team, with strong ability to plan and execute plan. A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, with strong communication and customer-relationship-building skills. Prospecting, developing and closing deals with customer. Traveling and frequent interaction with customers are expected, mainly within the allocated markets. Outgoing individual with drive to focus on Customer contact.
