Permanent Could you work with colleagues by building insight from robust evaluation using high quality data to drive service improvement? Could you be responsible for developing a robust evaluation framework and leading the delivery of internal and external evaluations? Can you play a role in defining the British Red Cross’s (BRC) strategic approach to driving service improvement and design through insight? What will an Evaluation Manager's job involve?
Develop and deliver a robust outcomes framework for the evaluation of services in our UK Operations. Work collaboratively and align with others across the BRC involved in undertaking research and evaluation. Lead on the delivery of evaluations including existing services and pilot new approaches ensuring they inform decision making about future sustainability and funding applications. Use routine monitoring and evaluation data to identify issues requiring further investigation to address challenges as they arise and support troubleshooting and service improvement. Work closely with colleagues across British Red Cross including, service leads, innovation and fundraising and engagement to ensure evaluation is embedded in the design and delivery of UK services. Promote and extend the use of new and different techniques of analysis and methodologies to deliver relevant insight that can effectively support decision making about service design and delivery. What will an Evaluation Manager need to be successful?
Educated to degree level (or equivalent by experience). Experience of delivering and coordinating evaluations ideally within a third sector organisation. Communication, presentation and influencing skills. Demonstrable project management experience with ability to plan and manage concurrent projects and activities. A thorough understanding/experience of using insight from data and research to add value tactically and strategically. Demonstrable experience of creating and effectively managing financial plans and budgets. Ability to lead, inspire and motivate, without direct authority, multi-disciplinary teams. Experience of diplomacy and successfully negotiating large, complex organisations. Formal line management experience. Managing teams through change.
