About the Role Join RAC and take your career on the road! As a Mobile Vehicle Technician, you'll enjoy the freedom of a 35-hour week without the monotony of being stuck in the same location every day. You'll use your skills to deliver excellent service, working directly with RAC members at their homes or workplaces.

We provide the van, tools, and all the training you need to succeed. You'll have the full support of a network of experts, from roadside technicians to in-house professionals. What Will I Be Doing?

Performing car services, repairs, and diagnostics on-site at customer locations. Providing exceptional customer service, offering advice and solving problems on the spot. Using your technical knowledge to carry out maintenance, repairs, and vehicle checks. Working independently while being part of a supportive team. What Do I Need to Succeed?

Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent). Experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic, working with various light vehicles. A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points. A passion for customer service, problem-solving, and making decisions with customers' best interests in mind. Why RAC?

Competitive Salary & Benefits: Starting salary of £36,180 (inc. London Weighting), with career progression up to £38,880, plus OTE earnings. Welcome Bonus: £2,000 if you start in January or February 2025! Overtime: Paid at 1.5x your hourly rate. Work Schedule: A 35-hour work week with a rotating shift pattern between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Saturday. Generous Holidays: 23 days' annual leave (rising to 25 with service) + bank holidays.
