Oakleaf is proud to be partnering with a well-known aviation company that is going through an exciting period of growth and change in their search for an Organisational Design Manager. This role is suitable for experienced Organisational Design or People Change Managers, or strong generalists with extensive experience in this area.
What is the role?
The Organisational Effectiveness Manager will scope, lead, and drive Organisational Effectiveness programmes and initiatives across the business in support of the business and people strategy, as defined by the strategic plan. The role is part of the Organisation Effectiveness team that provides subject matter expertise and works with the business to shape and lead impactful projects, optimise efficiency, enhance productivity, and establish clear accountabilities and ways of working.
Typically, the programmes will be complex and large-scale change, usually spanning more than one functional area of the business. Most programmes will be centred on organisational effectiveness or design but could be multi-faceted, requiring other People specialisms.
In most instances, the Organisation Effectiveness Manager will be required to design and deliver the organisational effectiveness change, as well as ensuring that the change lands well and is embedded in the organisation. Additionally, they may be required to play a project/programme manager role within the programme, ensuring that the programme is delivered on time and within agreed resources. They may also be required to contribute to or help manage the people strategy and plan.
Candidate profile
You will be an experienced Organisational Effectiveness professional or have a strong generalist HR background within a large complex organisation, ideally with experience from partnering, change, or organisational effectiveness.
Experience of scoping and delivering organisational effectiveness, design, and people change initiatives, ideally in a unionised and complex environment, with the ability to create solutions in response to organisational needs.
You will have good experience of organisation design principles and key change methodologies.
The ability to understand complex, often ambiguous, subjects and translate this understanding into fully formed and grounded plans that are simple and actionable is essential, as is the ability to exercise conceptual thinking and apply judgement while working with ambiguity.
