We are currently in the process of redeveloping the hospital to provide a new state-of-the-art facility for the residents of Hillingdon and beyond, ensuring the best delivery of healthcare for the future. The Hillingdon Hospital Foundation Trust (THHFT) has partnered with Imperial Health Care Trust (ICHT) to provide Rehabilitation Medicine input into the major trauma centre and is seeking to appoint a new consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine with a special interest in Neurorehabilitation and Spinal Injuries to support the London Spinal Injury project. The post holder will join a team of 2 consultants in Rehabilitation Medicine (RM) and a team of neurologists who work across the two trusts. This is an excellent team with a network of consultants who support each other across both trusts. Candidates wishing to work part-time are encouraged to apply and negotiate working hours. Main Duties of the Job

This post consists of 10 Programmed Activities (PAs), annualized as 8.5 Direct Clinical Care (DCC) and 1.5 Supporting Clinical Activities (SPA). This is an appointment by the Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust with the license to attend at Imperial College NHS Trust. The post holder must hold full MRCP and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Rehabilitation Medicine. We welcome applications from trainees in Rehabilitation Medicine who are approximately 6 months from CCT. About Us

The post holder will provide consultant input to the London Spinal Cord Injury Network and the Major Trauma Network in North West London. The post holder will be responsible for improving the care of spinal cord injury patients needing rehabilitation in the North West London sector. This will involve linking with community teams and outreach visits to community settings. Job Responsibilities

Full GMC Registration with License to Practice MRCP or equivalent Recent clinical experience in Neurorehabilitation/Neurology Ability to work with a multidisciplinary group Demonstrable commitment to teach, train, and assess undergraduates, postgraduates, and nursing staff Proven teaching experience Experience of clinical audit and the ability to enable delivery of good practice Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register via one of the following:

Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) (the proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of the interview) Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR)

Experience in leading change Clinical and educational supervisor training courses Completed education supervisor's course Relevant research articles in peer-reviewed journals Previous experience of participation in research Published works Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
