You will be joining a team consisting of 4 Consultants, 3 of whom are subspecialty accredited Gynaecology Oncologists and 1 Consultant Gynaecologist, Cancer and Colposcopy Lead. The team is currently based at Cheltenham General Hospital, although outpatient clinics are held at Gloucester Royal Hospital, Worcester Royal Hospital, and Hereford County Hospital. The postholder will be a subspecialty accredited Gynaecological Oncologist. The postholder will provide specialist Gynaecological oncology services, including theatres, outpatient clinics, colposcopy, and On-call together with appropriate teaching and supervision of resident doctors and medical students. Integral to the responsibilities of this post are the following objectives:
To ensure the delivery of a high-quality patient-centred clinical service
To provide effective leadership to all staff engaged in that same task
To sustain and develop teaching and research wherever appropriate

To support the business plans and development strategies formulated for the specialty, the Women and Children Division, and our Trust

To take a whole systems approach to working with the wider health community both NHS and social services
