PRODUCTION MANAGER - PLASTIC PACKAGING
Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: Circa £35,000
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on, energetic, and dynamic Production Manager to oversee our Clients' manufacturing operations at a leading plastic packaging manufacturer in Greater Manchester. The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual with a strong shop floor presence, capable of bringing enthusiasm and efficiency to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage day-to-day production operations on the shop floor, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
Maintain a visible presence on the shop floor, engaging with teams to drive performance and motivation.
Monitor and optimise workflow, production schedules, and output quality.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes.
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies.
Work closely with senior management to identify training needs and develop team members.
Troubleshoot operational issues and resolve production challenges promptly.
Required Skills & Experience:
Previous shop floor management experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
Experience in plastics manufacturing is highly desirable but not essential.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams.
Hands-on approach with a willingness to be actively involved in day-to-day operations.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to implement effective solutions.
Eagerness to learn and develop within the role.
