About the Role Join our dynamic Health Care & Life Sciences Team where you will work in partnership with the Head of School and Assistant Principal of the School to help contribute to strategic planning and lead on operational management. You will play a key part in providing leadership and motivational management to curriculum teams. You will have responsibility for the successful development of a defined curriculum, as well as implementation of College strategic aims and objectives through leadership of operational planning, performance, monitoring and reporting, and operational management of resources. Key Responsibilities Apply knowledge and skills of learning and teaching to provide effective leadership and management to the subject teams, and effectively support student achievement of successful outcomes within the specific subject areas of Science, Healthcare, Pharmacy, Dentistry. Deliver and promote learning and teaching opportunities that employ the most appropriate methodologies to support student achievement of successful outcomes with a focus on ensuring successful progression pathways. Be responsible for setting, monitoring and achievement of agreed targets for student recruitment, retention, attainment, progression and satisfaction and for successful income generation e.g. credits, commercial or other. Provide supportive, effective and future-focused direct line management, including recommendations for professional development and performance management as appropriate. Qualifications and Experience Essential: Qualified to HND/Degree (SCQF 8/9) or SVQ Level 4/5 in the relevant vocational area A relevant teaching qualification Relevant experience of teaching and qualifications within curriculum areas. Proven effective educational practitioner Proven Experience in Curriculum Design and Planning Desirable: Management qualification Qualification in e-learning Qualification in enterprise Experience of developing blended learning materials Proven effective leadership Skills and Attributes Essential: Appropriate knowledge of existing, emerging and assistive technologies to support and enhance the learning process Experience of budget management achieving financial targets and effective use of resources. Able to plan and deliver operational plans to support quality improvement.
