We are looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to work as part of our friendly and versatile Paediatric secretarial team. You will be based at the Royal Alex Children's Hospital, Brighton. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with NHS colleagues, patients, and relatives by email, telephone, and face to face. You must be able to prioritize your workload, have good time management, and meet deadlines. You must be adaptable and embrace change. You must have 2 years’ experience in a secretarial/administrative role. Knowledge of working in a hospital environment or similar is desirable but not essential. We are happy to consider a job share if appropriate and suitable candidates are available. Main duties of the job

Work as part of the friendly and versatile secretarial team. Communicate effectively with NHS colleagues, patients, and relatives. Prioritize workload and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. Adapt to changes in the work environment. Utilize your 2 years’ experience in a secretarial/administrative role. Contribute to a supportive work culture. Person specification

Experience of a secretarial/administrative role. Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills. Experience in audio typing.
