Our Burton facility employs over 50 experienced tradespersons, and we are on the hunt for a salesperson to join our dynamic team. About the Role Northeast Engineering is looking to welcome a Trade Assistant to their Fitment team. As a Trade Assistant your primary focus is assisting the qualified tradespeople in the fitment of truck bodies and accessories. Key responsibilities: Fitting bodies out with accessories outlined by customers including but not limited to, ladders, toolboxes, custom mounted components, lighting, tarp motors, ADR stickers. Assisting qualified tradespeople in all aspects of their duties. Operating and maintaining tools and machinery. Following safety protocols and maintaining a clear working environment. Performing quality checks and reporting issues appropriately. Supporting with general labour tasks. About you To be successful in this role you will need: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals (desirable). Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Commitment to safety. Forklift License (desirable).
