Communities and Social Impact Coordinator West Midlands / South West An opportunity has arisen for a Communities and Social Impact Coordinator to join the Team at Galliford Try. Ideally, you will be based in or around the West Midlands or South West regions and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the area. What you will be doing: Responsible, with the Regional Community & Social Impact Manager, for setting and implementing a coordinated social value strategy. Developing and maintaining relationships with appropriate community, education, and third sector bodies. Working with site and office teams to raise the profile of social value and help organise and coordinate activities. Managing collection, recording, and reporting of all social value and related data. Liaison with colleagues locally (e.g., communications, proposals, business development) and wider within - to share information and best practice. Implement and manage the delivery of the Social Value strategy. Contribute, with the Regional Community & Social Impact Manager and Board of Directors, to the setting of the Social Value strategy. Work with sites from the start of a project (including second stage tender award) to identify and agree Social Value requirements/opportunities to be targeted. Work with Schools, Colleges, Charities, not-for-profit organisations, and other relevant bodies to build relationships and identify Social Value opportunities in order to meet site, client or Framework KPIs or to support initiatives. Work with the HR business partner and other colleagues to maximise the potential of employment and skills activities. Be the point of liaison between site/office teams and external bodies to help organise and deliver Social Value activities that provide true benefit. Work with site and office staff to identify and record progress against relevant Client or Framework KPIs. Manage participation in the Considerate Constructors Scheme, working with senior site staff to ensure they are able to maximise the benefit of Social Value activities and other ‘soft’ measures to enable them to hit the Group minimum target. About You: Experience of Social Value strategy implementation. Understanding of and experience of working with the Social Value Act. Experience of delivering Social Value in collaboration with key stakeholders. Experience of Corporate Responsibility and Community engagement. Experience of promoting a Social Value culture across a business and balancing Social Value with commercial pragmatism.
