Exciting Opportunity to Join a Global Manufacturing Leader as Plant Manager in Wigan An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic individual to join our client, a global Manufacturing leader (c.$1bn Group Revenue) to lead and manage the full end-to-end manufacturing operation for their Plant near Wigan. As the Plant Manager for our client's Manufacturing Plant near Wigan, you'll be reporting into a Group Operations Director and responsible for leading the full end-to-end operation of a fast-paced Continuous Process 24 5 Plant. You'll have 3 direct reports (Engineering Manager, Production Manager & Warehouse Manager) with c.70 indirect reports and an Ops Budget of circa 6m. Key Responsibilities of Plant Manager:

Plant Strategy & Leadership:

Develop and implement strategic plans that align production processes with business objectives to increase yield, profitability and throughput, identifying & leading Continuous Improvement Activities on-Plant to reduce waste & inefficiency. Decrease Downtime:

Minimise downtime by working closely with the maintenance and production teams to identify and eliminate downtime issues. Implement preventative maintenance strategies to ensure equipment is always running at optimal capacity. Manufacturing Management & Operational Excellence:

Manage day-to-day activities associated with running large-scale Plants. Lead and manage to ensure that all operations are performed safely, efficiently, and effectively. Implement operational excellence initiatives like LEAN, 5S, SMED, KAIZEN, and SIX SIGMA programs to drive continuous improvement. Health & Safety:

Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to, implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Qualifications / Skills Required for Plant Manager:

Qualified by Experience

OR HNC / HND / C&G / Degree

in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field Previous Plant / Manufacturing Operations Management experience within a continuous production / process environment Experience of developing & delivering strategic Plant production plans to ensure budgeted production levels are achieved Strong budget & financial management experience (Plant budget, targets etc) Knowledgeable of HSE regulations NEBOSH Certificates (or similar) Results-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement & achieving targets using 5S / LEAN / Six Sigma / SMED Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate, lead & inspire Strong communication and interpersonal skills For the successful Plant Manager, a salary of up to 80,000 + Car + Package is on offer.
