The Opportunity: We have an opportunity for a Legal Secretary to join our Corporate and Commercial team, based at our Norwich office.This role is an excellent opportunity to work in a friendly, growing and fast-paced law firm. About the Team: The team carry out a mixture of corporate transactional work (buying and selling businesses) and commercial contract work. There can be time pressure when transactions are in the process of completing, where the team must adhere to deadlines set by our clients. The Role: This role will see the successful candidate undertaking the following tasks: Requesting documents from clients as part of transactions and uploading these to the data room as instructed Assisting with completions in preparing documents for execution, supporting the fee earner with document management at completion and witnessing documents if required Assisting with the preparing, uploading and the management of documents for signing in DocuSign Submitting documents and applications in respect of the payment of stamp duty to HMRC File opening, electronic and paper (including conflict checking) and ensuring all data is accurately entered into the case management system Answering telephone calls in a timely and professional manner Producing correspondence via BigHand digital dictation system and/or copy typing Amending documents/letters with tracked changes and typing up manuscript amended documents Providing general administrative and clerical support as required The Candidate: The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple tasks and have a good attention to detail. They should be a team-player who can quickly gain the trust of their team and clients as well as our professional colleagues in this demanding area of legal work.
