Our stroke service at Basildon Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated trained nurse to join our stroke team to support the provision of specialist treatment and care for patients immediately following a stroke. This is a secondment full time post based at our Basildon Hospital. We look forward to meeting you if you think this job is for you. Main duties of the job

The stroke patients pathway starts in A&E where the stroke specialist nurses who are on call 24/7 provide thrombolysis and thrombectomy assessment, initial rapid brain imaging and deliver an overall high standard of stroke care. The focus of your role is to assess, facilitate and provide lifesaving treatment in a timely manner and ensure a prompt triage to Pasteur ward for the staff to deliver immediate hyper acute care for the first 72 hours post stroke. Qualifications

NMC registered Recognised post registration stroke course or training NIHSS certificate or must undertake GRPG certificate or must undertake Experience

Strong experience working as a Band 5 Demonstrable experience in stroke nursing Experience in research audit Please be aware as per the new Immigration guidelines we cannot sponsor candidates with a salary (full time or pro Rata) under the current minimum threshold. Employer certification / accreditation badges
