About the Role We are looking for a Regional Head of Product – SME Claims (and household) to join the EMEA SME team who is proficient in English plus preferably in one more Continental European language. The role can be based anywhere within EMEA countries of AIG presence depending on the final candidate’s location. The Head of Product – SME Claims will support the development and monitoring of a newly established central SME claims department for the EMEA region. The role requires the sophisticated management of the claim portfolio for AIG’s new SME packaged product while utilizing the available shared service capabilities throughout the region. Key Responsibilities: Talent management (our people strategy). Total cost of claim outcome improvements and efficiency (including reserves, vendor management, file proactivity, and global quality audit results). Business alignment with our business teams and global claims colleagues. Driving superior client and broker service across EMEA. How you will make an impact: Total Cost of Claim and Outcome Improvement: Expense & Operational Efficiency - scalable shared service teams, capabilities, optimized internal spend & Process. Determine the most efficient claims servicing strategy, out-sourced or in-sourced, while ensuring a best-in-class differentiated service. Loss Ratio Improvement - outcome consistency - eliminate self-inflicted volatility. Managing to Metrics - performance tracking, measuring team performance, and driving accountability. Overall accountability for the success and performance of KPIs for the Line of Business. Overall responsibility for driving the claims strategy and plan for SME. Claims & Business Closely Aligned: Feedback loop - Timely and actionable lessons learned; close partnership with Underwriting and Actuarial. Maintaining alignment with Claims product heads for specialized technical support as required. Timely, accurate, and customer-focused resolution management of escalated claims issues. Assist in continuous improvement and meeting of AIG EMEA KPI’s for the SME segment. Insight & Analysis - Portfolio trend identification; severe loss post-event review and analysis. Emerging Risks - Early warning; Opportunities for a fresh look at products and wording. Overall accountability for ensuring strong business relationships/partnerships with U/W and business development colleagues. Differentiated Service: Relevant Market pace setter. Implementation of an appropriate VOC and NPS strategy to best assess customer experience. Claims as Differentiator - Benchmark for Quality, problem solver of choice. Segmentation - segmenting service levels based on client requirements. Overall accountability for broker engagement and LOB enhancements/opportunities based on broker feedback. What you'll need to succeed: In-depth experience with related management roles. Strong negotiating, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and communication skills. Experience of working in a highly regulated environment. Demonstration of excellent grasp of trends and developments of claims. Ability to work well in a team to help grow and establish AIG's new SME product. Ability to work with actuaries and underwriters on trends and loss identification. Identifies opportunities to improve process and efficiency. Understands product features and how they impact service response and transactions.
