As a Senior Innovation Manager Flexibility at E.ON, you will play a crucial role in establishing our position as the "playmaker" within the energy industry. Your main responsibility will be to drive effective innovation, enabling us to bring new and compelling solutions to our customers and the market. This includes defining and developing pilot initiatives that, once validated, might be incorporated in the core business to scale. Flexibility is a key strategic focus area for the UK business, and we aim to expand our dynamic team, to enable us to deliver greater value for our customers and business. We currently have multiple opportunities available for Innovation Managers within our UK Flexibility Team. Responsibilities: Report to the Innovation Lead for Flexibility, who oversees flexibility projects within the organisation. Use analytical skills and expertise to become the subject matter expert for a specific project topic such as I&C flex, Community flex, B2C flex, Battery Flex, Heat flex, or EV flex. Lead initiatives through various innovation phases, including defining and testing business models, propositions, features, or capabilities. Assemble and mobilise cross-functional and cross-business area teams to support project delivery. Address and resolve obstacles that may arise during the project. Definition Phase: Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to understand the category and guide roadmap development. Organise and lead idea generation sessions for the category. Evaluate propositions and business models using detailed analytics and experiments. Continuously iterate and test until meeting the required standards for practical pilots, trials, or MVPs. Development Phase: Develop and take responsibility for the plan to deliver pilots, trials, and MVPs. Implement a suitable strategy for plan execution, considering scale and complexity. Document lessons learned to enhance pilot projects. Other Responsibilities: Use a phased approach to balance pace, agility, and cost. Develop marketing strategies and sales routes to support pilots. Define and agree on OKRs for each phase, ensuring robust measurement and reporting processes. What we need from you

Knowledge and experience within the Energy Industry and/or Energy Trading. Strong understanding of Flexibility. Proven track record of successfully bringing innovative solutions to market that create value for customers and stakeholders. Familiarity with innovation processes such as Agile Working, Lean Start Up, and Design Thinking. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver within budget. Customer-centric and collaborative approach, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders. Understanding of design principles and methodologies, with experience translating customer insights into actionable plans. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative and innovative mindset. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and compelling storytelling skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others at all levels. Detail-oriented with commercial acumen and the ability to grasp complex topics quickly. Strategic and creative mindset, with a willingness to challenge the status quo.
