An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mammographer to join our multi-disciplinary team at Cambridge Breast Unit. The service delivers both breast screening and symptomatic mammography. The Cambridge Breast Unit uses fully digital mammography with three mammography rooms, all being tomosynthesis systems. We perform a range of examinations and interventional procedures such as vacuum assisted biopsy. In addition, we have two mobile screening Units to provide the important primary screening to the Cambridgeshire area. As a Mammographer in the Cambridge Breast Unit, you will be part of a dedicated team providing a high-quality patient-centred Mammography Service. To produce a consistently high standard of images. To ensure the patient is at the centre of all we do and maintain a high level of client/patient care ensuring an efficient service is maintained at all times. To operate in all locations including mobile screening vans and be involved in all aspects of screening and symptomatic work. Participate in NBSS image review. The Unit also has close affiliations with the Cambridge Breast Cancer Research Unit which may provide opportunities for role extension into research and audit in the future. About us

Qualifications

BSc Hons or equivalent HCPC registered Radiographer Post graduate award in Mammography Experience

General radiography experience Experience in practical radiography Experience in symptomatic and screening Mammography Knowledge

Knowledge of symptomatic and screening Mammography An understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance Skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure Ability to use initiative, organise and problem solve Ability to identify own educational and development needs Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team Ability to prioritise workload Open to acquisition of new skills and knowledge Additional Requirements

The ability to understand and behave at all times, towards patients, visitors and colleagues according to the Trust values of Safe, Kind, Excellent. Ability to travel to Mobile Units Understanding that this role involves working with radiation Disclosure and Barring Service Check
