About the Role We are looking for an exceptional leader to take charge of our SEO department and continue its rapid expansion. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business, setting clear objectives, and driving strategic growth. You will be responsible for developing and executing forward-thinking SEO roadmaps to surpass predefined targets across a portfolio of clients. Additionally, you will improve agency profitability by refining our product offerings and streamlining processes to make common tasks more efficient. This is an exciting opportunity to lead, innovate, and make a lasting impact. Key responsibilities: Leading the development of the team, from junior to senior, in SEO and Digital PR. Heavily involved in new client acquisition and retainer growth. Shaping company direction and operations. Leading SEO strategy for key clients, from ideation to implementation, and presenting results. Innovating products to expand agency offerings. Sharing SEO knowledge with the team through training sessions and workshops. Staying current on industry news and incorporating changes into work. Supporting senior leadership and maintaining the agency’s position as an industry leader. About You We’re seeking a driven, ambitious SEO leader with a proven track record of success. You’ll have at least seven years of SEO experience, including two years in a senior agency role, and a history of managing teams, driving data-led strategies, and executing complex projects (e.g. site architecture planning, large-scale migrations, etc.) You excel at managing multiple clients, closing leads, and building strong relationships while delivering exceptional results. You’re methodical yet decisive, growth-focused, and highly effective at balancing project and time management. With hands-on expertise across all areas of SEO, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and a talent for mentoring others, you’ll take ownership of your work, stay ahead of industry trends, and contribute to the growth of the agency. Clear communication and leadership skills are a must. Required Skills & Experience: Over 7 years of SEO experience, preferably as a senior professional in an agency Award-worthy results from effective SEO strategies and an in-depth understanding of all areas of SEO Proven track-record with new business pitches Experience managing and growing a team History of driving innovation for both internal processes and client output Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills A proactive and results-oriented mindset Track record overseeing and/or delivering successful Digital PR campaigns Confident public speaker with experience talking at conferences/events Award wins Involved in the development of tools for automation and/or innovation Active contributor within the SEO community Seniority level
