Senior Management Accountant (12 Month FTC Potential to go perm)

£45,000 - £60,000 (Depending on Experience)
Axon Moore are exclusively working with a high growth and exciting business in Wilmslow, who are looking to hire a Senior Management Accountant to cover a period of maternity leave.
The successful candidate will support the Head of Financial, Planning & Analysis in all aspects of the preparation and review of the monthly management accounts, budget and reforecast cycles in addition to any additional analysis as required.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Ensure timely closure of month end process with support of accounts assistant. Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reporting to senior management and stakeholders. Budgeting and Forecasting: Update and monitor actuals against regular financial forecasts. Maintain company multisite forecast model in excel. Provide insights into budget variances and recommend corrective actions. Monitor site opening budgets versus actuals with external project managers. Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making. Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and procedures with support from Accounts assistant. Business Partnering: Collaborate with Operations and other teams to provide financial guidance and support including cascading forecast updates and actuals. Assist in strategic projects including Ad hoc reports to support board with debt or equity fundraising targets. Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Liaise with external accountants and other stakeholders to ensure tax and other statutory deadlines are met. System Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving financial systems, processes, and reporting.
