As a result of our continued success, we are expanding our Insurance Directorate and currently have a number of vacancies for Insurance Consultants, with experience of insurance industry operations and technology.
This role would suit an analytical person with a background in change or operations, with aspirations to become a recognised industry expert and move into a senior consulting role. You will have the opportunity to perform a number of different activities as our engagements range from providing strategic business advice and go-to market strategies, to the production of operating models and evaluations of digital transformation solutions across a broad portfolio of clients. As part of the role, you will receive in-depth training in business and technology architecture techniques as well as becoming immersed in the Altus Consulting tools and methodology. What will I learn?
How to be a consultant at Altus
- Learning what a consultant does, and the principles and ethics that sit behind it, including where and how consultants help in the business change cycle. Techniques in business and technical architecture
- Learning to apply the catalogue of methods deployed by Altus at clients, ensuring that Altus deliverables have a valuable and significant life beyond their delivery. Methodology in change and project delivery
– In addition to professional training, learning to apply APEX, the Altus Programme Delivery Framework on client engagements Enhancing your presentation and communication skills
- Gaining the ability to hold the attention of a senior audience and to convey complex choices through the use of clear explanation and visualisation Effective client engagements and impactful deliverables
- Ensuring that our clients are not purchasing “shelf-ware”, Altus deliverables must have a valuable and significant life beyond their delivery. Getting to grips with FS Regulations
- Getting to know the regulatory frameworks that govern and safeguard the industry, and the impacts they have on firms Thought leadership & marketing
– Producing material of a high standard to be published in the industry press and contributing to building thought leadership The consulting sales cycle
– Supporting work on client proposals and Requests For Proposals through to contracts and project initiation How a consulting business is managed and operated
- Understanding the component parts of an effective consulting business Requirements :
10+ years of experience of working within change or operations teams, with 5+ years in the insurance sector Hands-on business change and/or business architecture experience Ability to take responsibility for and lead the analysis and design of strategic business solutions Extremely thorough, inquisitive and hard-working behaviours A genuine desire to improve outcomes for clients and consumers Excellent people and communication skills, able to confidently converse with clients and stakeholders Proven track record of building strong business relationships Innovative and with a strong ability to articulate ideas, bringing them to life visually and presenting them to clients and stakeholders Good understanding of IT fundamentals and different categories of FS systems Genuine passion and enthusiasm to make a difference for Altus A willingness to travel within the UK and globally, and undertake varying roles at clients If you don't meet all the requirements, we still want to hear from you!
