About the Role Red Sky Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a renowned Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation contractor delivering projects across Ireland, Mainland Europe, the Nordics, and the UK. Our client has a diverse portfolio covering Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Power Generation sectors.

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Design Lead to join their team on a Data Centre project in Wales. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the Electrical Engineering function, ensuring technical compliance, overseeing engineering teams, and working closely with project management to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Requirements Must have an engineering background (not a Project Manager or Site Manager). Data Centre experience is essential. For European candidates, a 17/4 rotation is offered (working Monday to Friday, with weekends off). Flights are provided every three weeks for candidates maintaining a home abroad (e.g., Poland). Salary is around £90,000, but negotiable for an exceptional candidate.

Roles and Responsibilities Lead the Electrical Engineering function, providing regular reports and updates to the Project Director and Client. Ensure technical compliance and oversee the preparation of handover documentation. Review and issue Technical Submittals to meet project specifications. Manage and oversee RFI processes. Lead a team of Electrical Engineers and Package Managers. Collaborate with the supply chain and vendors to ensure smooth project execution. Communicate and resolve technical issues as they arise. Monitor and review engineering progress, identifying and addressing any risks or delays.

Qualifications Required Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience Required Proven experience in a similar leadership role. Experience in Hyper-Scale Data Centres is preferred. Strong team management and leadership skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Proficiency in Office 365, including Outlook, Excel (advanced), Word, PowerPoint, ShareFile, and CMMS systems.
