As a Level 4 Cyber Security apprentice, you’ll cover intermediate fundamentals of network security, cyber security, and risk management. Delivered by Firebrand, the level 4 Cyber Security Technologist apprenticeship will help you develop the skills required to implement a series of technical, procedural, and physical controls to monitor, detect and respond to a wide range of cyber security threats. You will be trained in cyber risk and mitigation; maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of digital data. You will use your skills to feed into policy decisions of a cyber security awareness culture within the Group. During your apprenticeship which usually spans up to 2 years, you will cover key areas such as: Networking and cyber security fundamentals Network security Threat, vulnerability, and risk assessment Operating system security Cryptography Information security and management frameworks Access control systems Why Lloyds Banking Group? What you’ll need GCSE (or equivalent) at grade 4-9 in both Maths and English and/or English literature You’ll need to be at least 18 years old on 1st September 2025. Whilst we welcome candidates who have a degree, this cannot be in a field related to the apprenticeship due to a crossover in learning. We’ll request a copy of your degree module transcript to review if your degree may contain prior learning.
