Alchemy is excited to be working with a leading gallery who are looking to expand their team with the role of Senior Registrar / Shipping Manager in London. This individual will be reporting directly to the Head of Shipping and will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling and execution of multiple projects both domestically and internationally and ensuring all aspects shipments are delivered safely, professionally, on time and in-line with company standards. Responsibilities: Obtain shipping quotes from approved Shippers for inbound and outbound shipment of artworks. Negotiating bespoke shipping costs for complex shipments and installations. Manage each individual shipment to fit bespoke client needs including packing specifications, paperwork preparation, liaison with relevant regulatory bodies and freight quote sourcing and booking. Monitor the progress of international & domestic outbound shipments, troubleshooting to rectify problems in a timely manner and ensure all stakeholders are informed accordingly. Ensure shipments are carried out in full compliance with local/international regulations, such as Export and CITES licenses. Work closely with the Pre-Sale, Post-Sale and Art Technician teams alongside the Logistics team to ensure projects are delivered accurately, cost effectively and within deadline. Ensure the Head of Department is aware of escalated issues raised by internal or external clients. Skills and qualifications: Extensive experience working with a Registrar or fine art logistics role, within a Gallery or Fine Art Shipping company. Strong organisational, analytical, managerial and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal and written presentation skill. Quick thinking and decision making, reflecting the companies standards and values in actions. Proficient in Microsoft Office packages. Seniority level
