Package Overview: £36,000-£38,000 + Overtime/Bonus Up to 23 days Holidays + Bank Holidays Full-Time/Permanent Excellent Progression and Training Opportunities Commutable from St Albans, Hemel Hempstead, Kings Langley Company Overview: Our Client is currently looking for a Drainage Engineer and HGV2 Driver to join their highly valued team on a full-time basis. We are seeking a skilled Class 2 Driver to operate 7.5-ton vacuum combination tankers with high-pressure jetting units. You will be responsible for removing and disposing of non-hazardous waste across various client sites, including residential, commercial, and industrial locations. The role involves working with large tanks, wet wells, and wastewater systems, including drainage camera surveys to locate and resolve blockages. You should have a positive, 'can-do' attitude, and be comfortable working with raw sewage where necessary. This is a dynamic and demanding role that may require working independently or alongside drainage and pump service engineers. Overtime is available, and all work is allocated via a tablet device, so you must be proficient in completing reports and paperwork to a high standard. Role and Responsibilities: Operate vacuum tanker vehicles, including jetting and pump station cleaning. Conduct CCTV drainage surveys, fault locating, and blockage clearing. Respond to emergencies and maintain high service standards. Travel across London and the Home Counties to client sites. Skills and Experience: Experience driving and operating a combination vacuum tanker vehicle. Knowledge of foul, storm, and groundwater pumping stations, and drain/gulley cleaning. Full UK Driving Licence (Class 2 / Category C). Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Experience in drainage CCTV surveys, jetting, and confined space entry. Strong communication skills and the ability to use electronic devices for reporting. Flexibility to join the Emergency Call-Out Rota. Strong problem-solving abilities and adherence to Health & Safety best practices. A trustworthy and professional approach to customer service.
