Working Pattern:
8:30 – 3:15 Monday to Thursday (45 min break), 8:35 – 12:20 on a Friday (15 min break) We are looking for three nurturing, positive people to join our committed team at Paradykes. The role requires lots of flexibility as it can be very varied, even within one day! Responsibilities include: Supporting individuals and groups Helping children to regulate their emotions Assisting with reading, writing, and numeracy tasks Encouraging positive play during breaks and lunchtimes We are committed to building positive relationships within our school community and believe that, as adults, we need to be calm, consistent, and positive role models for our children. Minimum Requirements: Evidence of basic literacy and numeracy at Standard Grade General level or SVQ2 in Early Years Care and Education, or National Certificate unit in Childcare & Education, or equivalent competency, to enable effective communication with staff and pupils, and provide sensitive support. The jobholder must be familiar with child development and able to respond to the needs of individual pupils. Previous experience in this field is essential. To be fully competent in the role, jobholders will be required to undertake additional training courses such as first aid and calm techniques.
