MCS Group is proud to be exclusively working with a leading food manufacturing company in County Tyrone, to recruit an Engineering Shift Manager.
As an engineering shift manager, you will be leading the maintenance team for all process areas and site services to ensure the continued development of the maintenance function and provide a pro-active professional service on the site.
You will:
Management of the Job Request System via SAP System ensuring all work is recorded and completed on time.
Management, development and monitoring of PMS schedules on SAP with regular communication on progress to the Engineering Management.
Raising and Planning purchases on SAP.
Prioritisation, planning and issuing of work duties to the team of multi-skilled / skilled and semi-skilled technicians including apprentices.
Completion of failure analysis (root cause analysis) on plant and equipment with follow up/follow through on progress of daily/weekly work plans and or project work to ensure it is organised and structured.
Set an example in safe & considerate behaviour.
Essential Requirements:
Must have an NVQ level 3 or 3 rd
level engineering qualification or equivalent (Mechanical or Electrical). Leadership skills / qualification and experience of managing teams. Commitment to Safety in terms of people and products. Basic Food Hygiene. Desirable: Experience of SAP Planned Maintenance Systems. Utility and Site Services experience. Health and Safety qualification IOSH / NEBOSH. Experience of PLC controlled machinery. Experience of High Voltage Distribution System. Experience within a Food Processing Industry.
