ASAP A school in Manchester is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school is committed to providing a holistic education for all pupils by inspiring excellence in an environment where pupils are nurtured and grow in self-worth and moral understanding. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEND and will be passionate about supporting them in achieving their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Assist in delivering tailored interventions and support for a child with a wide range of SEND, including those with EHCPs. Work closely with the class teacher to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and provide one-to-one support. Help to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. Liaise with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure that the support provided is effective and appropriate. Person Specification: Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a primary school setting. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children with a variety of SEND needs. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents. An understanding of SEND legislation, including EHCPs, is desirable but not essential. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to support children both individually and in small groups. A flexible and solution-focused approach to working with children with diverse needs.
