Key Responsibilities: Assist in delivering tailored interventions and support for a child with a wide range of SEND, including those with EHCPs. Work closely with the class teacher to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and provide one-to-one support. Help to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. Liaise with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure that the support provided is effective and appropriate. Person Specification: Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a primary school setting. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children with a variety of SEND needs. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents. An understanding of SEND legislation, including EHCPs, is desirable but not essential. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to support children both individually and in small groups. A flexible and solution-focused approach to working with children with diverse needs.
