We a partnered with a Telecommunications provider that is now seeking a Construction Technician 3, to play a vital role in the construction and maintenance of aerial and underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure. This position demands hands-on work both outdoors and indoors, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of fiber and copper facilities. As a Construction Technician 3, you'll contribute to maintaining existing infrastructure, performing evaluations, and executing repairs to ensure uninterrupted service for clients. Responsibilities: Perform manual labor tasks for telecommunications construction projects, including the installation and removal of equipment. Support fellow construction technicians to optimize workflow and project efficiency. Complete essential paperwork such as Daily Progress Reports, Safety Tailboards, and timecard entries accurately and promptly. Provide comprehensive documentation including accurate as-built prints and associated photographs for project closeout packages. Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, job sites, and equipment inventory. Operate various vehicles and equipment including bucket trucks, trenchers, and digger derricks safely and effectively. Execute tasks such as tree trimming, brush clearing, and excavation as required for project needs. Read and interpret work prints accurately to carry out placement of cables, conduits, and other facilities. Adhere to safety protocols and incident reporting procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members. Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors, demonstrating strong leadership skills when required. Act as a crew leader in the absence of a project manager, overseeing crews to maximize efficiency and productivity. Serve as a mentor to less experienced employees, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines and objectives. Maintain professional interactions with clients and the public, representing the company in a positive light. Education and Experience: Valid CDL-A license required, with the ability to maintain a CDL medical card. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Prior experience in construction (3-5 years preferred). High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Competencies: Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude. General knowledge of construction principles and practices. Consistent attendance and punctuality. Ability to follow instructions and solve problems effectively. Strong attention to detail. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed.
