Are you an experienced 1st Assistant Director? The Casualty team are looking for their next 1st Assistant Director! As 1st AD, you will report to Rachel Slater the Line Producer. Your duties will include the following: Analyse the script and produce a schedule that meets the creative, budget and Health and Safety requirements. Create Risk Assessments for Health and Safety actions and enforce requirements in the filming environment. Assist in maximizing filming time by efficiently scheduling scenes. Communicate the Director's requirements to members of the production team. Provide clear information to the crew, performers, and contributors about their roles. Direct and lead background activity and second units as required. Monitor and report expenditure against the budget. Take lead Health and Safety responsibilities on set. Manage the Assistant Directors and contribute to their career development. Assist the scheduling department and attend planning meetings. Contribute to the production review process. WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following characteristics: Proven experience as a 1st Assistant Director in the Television industry. Good working knowledge of Movie Magic. Thorough knowledge of the production process. Good working knowledge of Health and Safety procedures on drama sets. Ability to effectively manage interpersonal relationships. Proven track record of being organized and responsive in fast-paced environments. Experience of understanding creative goals and program requirements. Experience of motivating and influencing others to achieve results. Ability to predict potential production problems. Essential skills in business and finance. A knowledge and passion for Continuing Dramas, especially Casualty. LIFE AT BBC STUDIOS

Contract: 12 Month FTC/Attachment
