1st Line Software Support Engineer (RSSSE) Guildford, England

Job Purpose 1st line Software Support Engineers provide first line contact for our customers for all incoming communication. They install Virtual Recall software systems on varied networks and hardware, train staff within veterinary practices on how to make the best use of Virtual Recall software, and respond to any issues, questions, or queries from Virtual Recall customers. Core Responsibilities of Support Engineer Provide a first line of contact and response for all incoming support calls and emails from Virtual Recall customers. Remotely install and configure the Virtual Recall software on a variety of networks and hardware and train staff within veterinary practices on how to make the best use of Virtual Recall software. Send communications on behalf of practices to educate/inform pet owners of important information. Proactively monitor and action Alerts for practices in your region. Create and maintain articles on the Support WIKI/Sharepoint Documentation site. Key Skills Customer-focused with excellent communication skills, able to build rapport quickly. Enjoy problem-solving and have an ability to adapt to the ever-changing environment of a growing dynamic company. Excellent written and spoken English. Self-sufficient and organised. Use honesty, integrity, and fairness in everything: with colleagues, customers, partners, and suppliers. Training & Qualifications High level of proficiency with Windows and the Microsoft suite. Proficiency in SQL, HTML, and CSS would be of great advantage. Previous experience of working within the animal/health veterinary industry would be beneficial. Fluency in other languages would be ideal. Experience for Support Engineer role Previous experience in a customer-facing role with excellent communication skills (both written and spoken English) and the ability to build rapport quickly. Enjoy problem-solving and have an ability to adapt to the ever-changing environment of a growing dynamic company. Self-sufficient, organised, and able to manage a number and variety of tasks and projects simultaneously. High level of proficiency with Windows and the Microsoft suite. Previous experience of working within the animal health or veterinary industry would be beneficial. Proficiency in SQL, HTML, and CSS would be of advantage. Travel Requirement All installations and training are carried out remotely from our Guildford office.
