2 Care Assistants required
to support a young woman who lives in Burnopfield
Location:
Newcastle Upon Tyne - NE16
Position Overview 2 Personal Care Assistants required to support a young woman with multiple physical disabilities, who lives in Burnopfield at the moment. At present, the young woman is virtually bed bound.
Responsibilities We are looking for support with day-to-day activities. The young woman requires personal care as well as:
Assistance with housework
Changing bed linens and laundry
Accompanying to social outings such as going for coffee/shopping
Preparing simple meals
Hours/Wage:
Hours:
18.5 hours per week over 7 days, split between the 2 carers. This can be discussed at the interview and requires some flexibility.
Wage:
£12 per hour.
Duties Include:
Daily personal care
Assistance with hygiene
Help managing a urostomy (urinary stoma)
Help with getting dressed
Help with food, including snacks or simple meals
Light housework including laundry, changing bed, and ensuring the toilet and bathroom areas are clean at all times
Social interaction activities
Other Information:
Must be able to drive and have own car.
References required.
The successful candidates would be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check prior to commencement.
