Job Reference (6b5dc) Job DescriptionJob Title:​ 2 Personal AssistantsHours:​ 17 hours Rate of Pay:​ £12.40 Mon-Fri & £15.44 Sat-SunLocation:​ At home and in the wider communityPurpose of the job:I am a woman with CRPS, FND, and waiting for ADHD and autism diagnosis. I need support with aspects of daily life, accessing outdoor activities, leisure facilities and meal planning/cooking.You will support me preparing meals and drinks, washing up, laundry, bed change, shopping, cleaning and general tidying. I have 4 pets in cages so I need assistance in keeping them clean.I also require someone who will accompany me to various activities. These activities can be anything that I discuss with yourself and what activities are available for that time of the year.You must be able to develop a rapport with me and be a pleasant companion. It is vitally important that you are trustworthy and that I feel comfortable with you.Experience with physical disabilities, ADHD, and autism is desired but not essential.I’m now a below knee amputee. I require assistance with my physio and they will need to attend some of my physio sessions so they know what I should be doing. Due to the FND I struggle to remember what the physio has instructed me to do, I also forget to do my physio and struggle with timing and counting reps so have to be supervised. Some supervision with medication, reminding, and sometimes drawing up. Good written and communication skills are a must as I sometimes struggle with these at times. You must be flexible in attitude and with the working day.These are subject to change as I am due a major operation mid October.Duties & Tasks● Assist me with making meals● Assist me with shopping, accessing the local community for social and leisure activities.● Support me with household tasks.● You must have a full clean driving licence.Any other reasonable request that I may make.Holiday Entitlement:You will be entitled to 5.6 weeks each year pro rata. You will be required to give at least two weeks’ notice for any holiday required so that alternative arrangements can be made.
