Minimum Requirements: Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded, and on the GMC Specialist Register. Applications are welcome for the above Permanent, part-time (24 hours per week) post based in the Melville Young Person’s Unit, Royal Hospital for Children and Young People. The post will be within the CAMHS Tier 4 services in NHS Lothian (full description of the services is found in Job Description). The postholder will be working with 2 established consultants to provide clinical leadership to these services. The CAMHS department in NHS Lothian supports both local and regional services and the postholder will be involved in providing both. There has been a very substantial investment in CAMHS over the last few years and this commitment will continue moving forward. This will offer the opportunity for the postholder to be part of a rapidly developing service that is looking to further develop a range of specialist pathways over the next few years.
