The post-holder will be responsible for the clinical leadership and day-to-day management of the Community/Inpatient Physiotherapy team and be actively involved in profession-specific activities. This involves: Leading, managing and supporting a team of staff in this specialist area of Physiotherapy, ensuring consistent operational management of the Physiotherapy service. Ensuring the highest standard of service delivery to patients which is fair and equitable. Provision of expert advice and education to Physiotherapy staff and students through developing and maintaining links locally and nationally. Working in conjunction with the General Manager and Physiotherapy Clinical Leads to deliver strategic and operational management of the Physiotherapy service. Manage own caseload of patients effectively and efficiently. To act independently to provide a comprehensive specialist service of assessment, diagnosis, treatment/appropriate management, onward referral, and discharge to a range of patients referred to the service. Support staff with the management of complex cases needing a high degree of clinical expertise. This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult), then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
