An opportunity has arisen within the Lower Annandale & Eskdale Home Team for a Band 6 Senior Practitioner, District Nurse. This role involves caseload management and co-ordination, clinical decision making and accountability for highly complex patients/clients. You will work closely with all members of the Home Team, including Social Work and Allied Health Professionals. Applicants will ideally have the qualifications to fulfil the requirements of this role, namely V300 independent/supplementary prescriber and advanced clinical assessment. However, this is also a development opportunity for a registered Nurse to undertake this role on a secondment / fixed term basis for 18 months, during which time they will be supported to complete the 2 aforementioned modules. Upon successful completion this position would then become permanent. The Community Adult General Nursing service provides cover 24/7 and includes weekend and public holidays. UK NMC registration and a driving licence or ability to travel around the area independently are essential.
