We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner to join our team within the theatre department at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI) as an Anaesthetic Practitioner. The successful candidate will be involved in the care of patients within a wide range of surgical specialities including gynaecology, orthopaedics and trauma, assisting anaesthetists during the use of local/regional/sedation & general anaesthetic. We have two posts available, both are 37 hours per week - one post is Permanent and one is Fixed term from 03/02/25 until 01/02/27. After an initial training period and completion of the mandatory NES Core Competencies for Anaesthetic Practitioners you will be required to undertake shift work including nightshift, weekends and participation in the on-call rota.
