We are inviting nursing applicants to join our experienced team of Diabetes specialist staff based in University Hospital Wishaw, providing out-patient clinics for people with complex Type 2 DM. This post will be based solely in the surrounding community areas. The successful candidate will be working with a well-established and highly skilled team of clinicians who are keen to provide an innovative and self-caring approach to diabetes care for their patients, and will also be part of a wider pan-Lanarkshire multi-disciplinary adult Diabetes service. While there will be extensive in-house training and education provided to support the development of our new member of staff, we would recommend that they contact the service for more information and a possible visit with our team. Registered Nurse or AHP with valid NMC / HCPC Registration Educated to Degree Level Post graduate qualification at a minimum of Level 10 (Hons) or working towards Expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice. Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice. Leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery. Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
