We are looking for a highly motivated Developer and Support Analyst to join the Information Services Team. This role will work to support and develop the University's in-house systems and integrations. The Information Services Directorate provides Digital Developments & Solutions, IT Infrastructure and Cyber Security, and Service Delivery to provide high quality and sustainable platforms, solutions, learning skills and library facilities that support, enable, and enhance the student and staff experience. This is all achieved by embedding the University’s values of being accessible, supportive, innovative, and ambitious in all that we do. The Digital Solutions Team are responsible for the provision of support to all Business Applications (such as VLE, Timetabling, Student Records) throughout the whole life cycle, including planning, design, procurement, development, build, test, implementation, support and maintenance. Reporting to the Senior Developer, the Developer and Support Analyst will be responsible for the daily operation of systems across the University including investigating and responding to issues from staff and students through a range of customer service channels including phone, email and remote support tools. You will work closely with colleagues from across the Information Services department to resolve issues and deliver an efficient system support service to a diverse range of users. Minimum Requirements: Previous experience of working in a similar support role is highly desirable. A firm understanding of C#, MS SQL server and interactions with API's is essential. If you have well-developed technical, interpersonal and team working skills, and an enthusiastic and positive attitude, with a strong attention to detail, this could be the role for you. The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable, however, not essential.
