Product Engineer

to join our team in

Aberdeen or London . As Product Engineer, you will be responsible for the support and maintenance of the application portfolio, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet customer needs. This is a hybrid role working a 3/2 pattern (minimum of 3 days onsite). What you’ll do

Support bespoke solutions within the application product line to meet business requirements Support the lifecycle of software applications, from deployment, ongoing support to decommissioning Work with appropriate teams and 3rd party vendors to ensure the integrity of platforms and services Ensure that applications are secure, reliable, and compliant with industry regulations Provide technical support for solutions in M365 development technologies e.g. Power Platform, Power BI, Dataverse, addressing any issues in a timely and effective manner Work closely with the Data & Digital team to implement minor modifications and enhancements to bespoke solutions Seek opportunities to innovate and improve application development processes and technologies Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the applications delivered meet their needs Monitor solution performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal functionality and user satisfaction Utilise performance metrics to improve system stability and monitor and report on capacity metrics Liaise with software vendors and service providers as required for application lifecycle support Responsible for the creation and maintenance of operational documentation (incl. processes, procedures, design & configuration, and operating manuals) Develop documentation for end-users and staff, ensuring applications are used effectively Implement best practices in application security to protect company data and ensure compliance with regulatory standards Ensure application development and management activities comply with health and safety standards and regulations What to bring

Aptitude for technical troubleshooting and experience of providing technical support for solutions in M365 development technologies e.g. Power Platform, Power BI, Dataverse Experience of undertaking minor modifications and enhancements to solutions in Power Platform, Power BI and Dataverse Experience and understanding of ITIL service management (incidents, requests, change management, problem management), ideally with experience of ServiceNow Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to liaise with various areas of the business such as internal IT colleagues and external vendors Experience of working in an Agile way Ability to work on own initiative and drive tasks forward to completion Ability to self-manage and prioritise workload What You’ll Get in Return:
