Leveraging our high-tech clean room fabrication facility using the most advanced manufacturing processes and design tools you will be part of the research and development team responsible for 2D materials, film synthesis, transfer processes, device build and test of emerging technologies to meet specific performance and reliability product roadmap requirements. The placement dates for this role are Summer / Autumn 2025. This is a Full-Time position working 39 hours per week, on-site working, Monday to Friday. You will:
Fabricate & characterise 2D materials. Evaluate and improve the transfer process for 2D materials. Build devices to measure performance using inhouse capabilities. Develop processes in areas of photolithography, deposition, dry and wet etch techniques. Develop testing capability, novel toolkit/device structures & test methods. Manage the acquisition, handling and vetting of datasets to correlate experimental test results with device performance and reliability. About you:
Familiar with 2D materials growth chemistry and equipment. Familiar with 2D materials transfer process and equipment. Knowledgeable in area of 2D materials characterization, test methods and techniques. Familiar with materials science, crystallography, chemistry. Familiar with electrical test methods and instrumentation. A good communicator with excellent presentation and written skills. A dedicated team player who works effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Your experience includes:
Currently undertaking an MSc or PhD degree program. Relevant degree in materials science, chemistry. Strong analytical skills, knowledge in 6 Sigma tools; R, JMP or similar statistical analysis software.
