Job Title: 3rd Line Infrastructure Location: Milton Keynes (3 days a week onsite) Salary: Up to 40,000 per annum Employment Type: Full-Time Sector: Solicitors I have partnered with a growing Solicitors based in Milton Keynes. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a 3rd Line Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering advanced IT support, managing complex infrastructure projects, and providing technical leadership. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Key Responsibilities: Advanced Technical Support: Provide 3rd-line support for escalated issues from the 1st and 2nd-line teams. Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues. Serve as an escalation point for critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime. Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS). Proactively monitor and optimize performance, availability, and security of client systems. Ensure high availability and business continuity for client environments. Project Delivery: Lead and participate in the planning and execution of IT infrastructure projects, including migrations, upgrades, and deployments. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define technical requirements and deliver tailored solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor for their IT needs. Provide regular updates and reports on ongoing projects and issue resolution. Key Skills and Experience: Strong expertise in Microsoft environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory/Group Policy, and Exchange. Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V. Proficiency in networking concepts (firewalls, switches, VLANs, VPNs, routing). Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, Azure AD). Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions. Experience: Proven experience in a similar 3rd Line Support role, preferably within a legal/law environment (beneficial but not essential). Demonstrated success in managing and delivering IT infrastructure projects. Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), VMware (VCP), or Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) are highly desirable.
