MCS Group are delighted to be working with a large public sector organisation in the search for a Climate Change Lead Officer.
The Role:
To support the leadership, co-ordination, management and development of the Organisations response to the challenges of climate change mitigation and adaptation to achieve net zero targets, including research, development, and performance management.
Responsible for records management in relation to relevant climate change documentation inclusive of statutory obligations.
Implement, co-ordinate and manage an integrated Climate Emergency Strategy (CES) encompassing the statutory responsibilities and objectives across all its functions.
Co-ordinate, lead and chair the Climate Action Team (CAT) within the organisation.
The Person:
A degree level qualification, or equivalent, in Environmental Management, Renewable Technologies, Environmental Sustainability or relevant discipline.
A minimum of 2 years experience in Developing and Delivering Projects, Change Management Processes and analysing and presenting data based evidence.
Full current drivers license.
