To be confirmed Stifford Clays Primary School is looking to recruit a talented individual to help establish and shape our Autistic Spectrum Disorder Resource Base funded directly by the Local Authority to eventually accommodate ten children. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with young children and for assisting them to overcome personal or behavioral issues that are often barriers to achieving their full potential. Applicants with experience of working with pupils who have ASD are desirable, but support will be given by the ASD Base Manager and on-the-job training will be provided. As a member of staff, you will be valued and supported; in return, we are looking for commitment, drive, and enthusiasm. Why Stifford Clays Primary School?

We are a community-focused school for 2 to 11 year olds, located centrally in the Stifford Clays ward of Thurrock. The original infant and junior schools were built in 1954 and have grown to accommodate 90 children in each year group. We have a resource base provision for children with autism. Stifford Clays Primary School is an extremely happy and positive school. We are an Ofsted 'Good' school (2022) where 'pupils love coming to school' and 'pupils, staff, and trustees show great pride in belonging to the Stifford Clays Primary School community.' Our personal development provision is 'outstanding.' Why SWECET?

At South West Essex Community Education Trust, we are passionate about providing the best start in life for our pupils. We believe that every young person deserves an education that will maximize their future life chances. Our vision is to establish a national reputation for the quality of education we provide. We believe that our colleagues are our most precious resource to provide high-quality learning experiences for all our pupils. Our colleagues work hard to support teams in their own schools and across the Trust, and in return, the SWECET Wellbeing Charter sets out our actions to support our colleagues. If you have energy and passion in abundance and would relish the opportunity to be part of our team, we look forward to hearing from you. Visits from prospective candidates are warmly welcomed and encouraged. To arrange a visit, please email
