ACCEND Facilitator

Aspirant Cancer Career and Education Development (ACCEND)
framework, supporting the continuous growth and development of our non-medical cancer workforce. Main duties of the job
As an ACCEND Facilitator, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance career pathways, foster lifelong learning, and embed the ACCEND framework into our cancer services. Your leadership will ensure a robust, sustainable, and supportive learning environment for clinical staff, contributing to exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities: Lead the delivery of the ACCEND programme in collaboration with the SWAG Cancer Alliance. Develop and sustain education and training initiatives to support career development for Clinical Nurse Specialists, Cancer Support Workers, Allied Health Professionals, and Advanced Practitioners. Facilitate learning opportunities across specialties, including mentoring and developing ACCEND champions. Collaborate with line managers to align workforce needs with ACCEND competencies and frameworks. Monitor and report on ACCEND progress, ensuring compliance with standards and sharing insights regionally and nationally. Based at Musgrove Park Hospital or Yeovil District Hospital, you will also engage with regional and national networks, with frequent travel required. Qualifications
NMC Registration or HCPC Registration Up to date Mentorship or teaching qualification Degree in relevant subject Advanced Communication Skills training or willingness to undertake. Masters degree or working towards Experience
Evidence of continuous personal, professional and academic development Knowledge of cancer nursing or AHP in related field Knowledge of ACCEND framework and how this fits in with current working practices Understanding of local workforce structures, training and education offerings and appraisal processes Experience at senior level (band 6), evidence of contributing to the development of nursing or AHP education and training. Experience of managing change. Previous experience working at a Band 7 level. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
