/ ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Account Director (Business Leadership) to join our growing Experiential & Commerce vertical. Our key accounts span the integrated experiential mix, with a common thread: whatever the brief, we strive to deliver compelling brand experiences that ultimately drive (trans)actions and are plugged into culture. We activate across B2C & B2B within the beauty, sports, retail & entertainment industries (to name a few).
The Experiential & Commerce vertical is home to a lot of our more recent clients, providing an opportunity to build new relationships whilst strategically growing key accounts and pushing creative boundaries. From traditional events and experiences to content shoots, partnerships, toolkit development and creative OOH campaigns, no day (or project) is the same. We’re looking for an Account Director who has an entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude to support both our team and client’s ambitions.
/ WHAT YOU'LL DO
Reporting to the Group Business Lead, you are the day-to-day contact and partner for our senior clients and cross-discipline internal teams, ensuring the smooth running of campaigns making sure they are delivered on time and with excellence. Commercially, you are accountable for delivering revenue & appropriate profitability associated with your areas of responsibility. You are comfortable working closely with strategy and creative teams, setting the tempo of the business and bringing clarity to the creative delivery. You will be looking to add value at all stages of campaigns and will be representing the agency on the world stage to help us build our growing reputation.
The role requires someone who can inspire and lead, but also offer best-in-class account handling and client servicing. Managing internal teams (both Business Leadership & other disciplines), ensuring efficient and best in class project/ campaign delivery, and working with the Group Business Lead to drive growth & secure the pipeline across the accounts. To the clients, it’s your ability to act as an extension of their team, communicate what is happening, when it needs to happen and who needs to do it that means they are in safe hands, and ensure they trust us with their brand, business, and personal careers.
/ RESPONSIBILITIES
Enhancing and protecting the creative output using reason, relationship, and intelligence
Assume a leadership role across inter-agency teams, ensuring all channels work seamlessly together
Translate client briefs into inspiring project plans in partnership with account, strategy, and creative leads. Identifying the right approach & response to varying briefs
Financial reporting is key both internally and externally. You will manage client budgets and billing structures whilst internally managing the team resource and scope to ensure that as an agency we are working efficiently and profitably
Support senior team members in creating best in class work across the entire consumer brand portfolio whilst laddering back to the strategic global direction
Developing bulletproof client relationships, and knowing when to leverage internal experts to help sell the agency offering
Working with internal creative and strategy teams to develop response to briefs closely aligned to the client’s objective, budget, and frameworks
Provide leadership to the internal teams, offering support as needed and working to nurture direct reports in their own career progression
Managing multiple complex workstreams across clients at any given time, ensuring clear prioritisation for direct reports and internal teams
Support in building and securing future pipeline of work for the vertical with both existing and new clients
/ WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
The core competencies for our AD’s are: relationship management, commercial accountability, creative judgment, strategic vision and a passion for integrated experiential and commerce
Whilst the core competencies are essential, we’re looking for someone who has that little something extra! Someone who is culturally connected, an eager marketeer, has a hunger for growth and is willing to go above and beyond for our clients
An agile leader who isn’t fazed by managing multiple workstreams at once and who has the ability to adapt their style of working to meet varying client’s needs
Deep understanding of brand experience and the ability to manage complex projects end-to-end at varying budget levels
An integrated thinker with experience working across multiple channels within the below the line marketing mix
Experience of having worked on global partnerships, sponsorships and activations is beneficial
Agency experience is essential - we will need you to hit the ground running so knowing your briefs from your budgets is key
Tenacious and a real can-do attitude, with an ability to work at speed whilst maintaining good attention to detail
Strong proficiency with deck writing – confident building clear narratives that sell the work and show why ideas deliver against client objectives. Capable of adapting deck style and story-telling to different audiences
Strong communication, project management and organisational skills
A proactive thinker who can drive projects forward and identify growth opportunities
Experience managing a team. Delegating effectively, providing mentorship and task management to junior colleagues, and knowing when to manage up
Someone who plays well with others. We are a full-service agency, from strategy to creative to production and everything in-between. The whole is greater than the sum of our parts and we want someone who engages well cross-departmentally and within an IAT setting
