Producer Compliance (e-waste, batteries and packaging) Key Duties
Work as part of the Producer Compliance team, providing a high level of customer service to internal and external customers. Deal with customer enquiries in a professional and timely fashion, both on the phone and by email. Collation of member’s data by category, type and weight and record accurately. Analyse data, identify anomalies, interpret trends and patterns within the data sets. Submit data to external regulators, meeting required deadlines. Ensure new membership accounts are set up correctly and processed in line with the department policies and procedures. Compliance related record keeping and administrative duties. Arrange collections of WasteCare customers’ waste streams. Carry out data audits for members either face to face or via telephone. Problem solve in a methodical and professional manner, ensuring all parties are kept updated. Ability to spot opportunities for up selling and cross selling for other areas of the business. Gain knowledge from Environmental Regulations and guidance documents. Identify and define new process improvement opportunities. Self-motivated team player who is passionate about their work with a “can do” attitude. Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written). Good analytical and problem-solving approach. Good organisational and time management skills. Must have a “hands on” approach as the working day will be varied. Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines. Experience of Word and Excel to a high standard. Interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail. Nice To Have
Having an interest and enthusiasm for environmental, waste and recycling issues would be advantageous. Ability to work under pressure. Good organisation skills. Prior knowledge of producer compliance regulations - e-waste, Battery and Packaging - would be an advantage but not necessarily essential to the right candidate. A sense of humour. Personality Type
