The Role:

As a Practice Manager, you will oversee all aspects of practice operations, playing a key role in both day-to-day activities and long-term strategic initiatives. Your responsibilities will range from managing workflows, team leadership, and client engagement to ensuring compliance and fostering innovation through digital solutions.

This dynamic role involves leading a team of six, you'll mentor junior staff, providing feedback and training to enhance their skills. On the client side, you'll build and maintain strong relationships, offering practical solutions to business challenges and conducting year-end review meetings. Identifying opportunities to grow client businesses and promoting additional services like payroll, tax planning, management accounts, and bookkeeping will also be essential.

Confidently stepping into leadership during the MD's absence, you'll ensure seamless operations and continued business success.

Requirements: ACA/ACCA qualification At least 5 years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a senior or supervisory role within a UK accounting practice Proven ability to delegate and ensure timely, high-quality task completion Experience reviewing team members' work for Partner/MD sign-off Strong communication skills for engaging with business managers and owners Proficiency in accounts preparation, tax, and VAT Expertise in cloud accounting software (QuickBooks preferred, Xero and SAGE) Competency in preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies Ability to prepare Corporation Tax computations and Personal Tax returns Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills This full-time, permanent role offers an excellent opportunity to lead and thrive in a well-established practice. #J-18808-Ljbffr
